The Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge is a natural gem on the banks of theTrinity River and Lake Worth with 3700 acres of prairie, forest, river bottom, and marsh. The Nature Center is the largest city-owned facility of its kind in the United States. It's an urban retreat that includes a bison herd, prairie dog colony, 25 miles of trails, and an interpretive center. The Boogie route passes right by the bison herd so everyone gets to see these lovely animals. Year-round activities include canoeing, guided hikes, and animal and nature exhibits.
